Zizek North American Tour 1 - 2009

So I'm working for a record label. Its one of the most exciting things I do daily.  Its called ZZK.  Zizek is a new club from Buenos Aires dedicated to the emerging sounds of Hip Hop, Dancehall, Reggaeton, Cumbia, Bastard Pop, Mashups and more. From the beginning, Zizek has been a club where genres clash and cross over, making you dance while still providing fresh and innovative sounds rarely heard before. In April, ZZK Cochella Tour 2009 will hit the states headlined by our artists Fauna, Douster, and El G.

ZZK Records is a homegrown, artists' collective launched recently out of Buenos Aires, Argentina. ZZK Records evolved from Zizek Club, the weekly party in Palermo, capital of South American hip, where visiting artists and resident deejays attract consistent crowds of global, street music fans

ZZK Records artists and Zizek Club are enjoying
international attention after a SXSW appearance and follow up tour of the U.S., Canada, and Mexico that included a month of consecutive raucous parties. XLR8R posted a podcast mixtape for your listening pleasure while recent issues of The Fader,Urb and NME feature Zizek's story and photos.
Zizek's a cornerstone of the fast-rising cumbia scene, packing in crowds with music that can perhaps be best described as the ultimate mash-up of underground Latin club sounds: reggaetón and dancehall bleeding into ghettotech and hip-hop, with traditional and electronic dance beats swirling around the whole hot, boiling stew.” -SF Weekly

I've been working to promote the tour in the States and helping with our events here in Argentina.  I've attended Club ZZK shows since arriving in Buenos Aires, and I'm so excited to work with the label.  The energy created at their live shows makes it impossible for someone to walk out unsatisfied with the performance. I would love for you to give it a listen, if you've got the time. Here's a link to give it a listen: http://www.myspace.com/zzkrecords
